Adversity

In the world today, the Ten Commandments are being virtually ignored by governments when they draft legislation which is considered "progressive". It is the first three Commandments, those which relate to our relationship with God, that have been ignored the most. Possibly, this is because these Commandments are not seen as important from a social or economic stand-point.

"So what if we change the law and break the third commandment about keeping the Sabbath holy? This commandment is holding us back from being socially sensitive and commercially competitive. It is out of date and spoils our fun. Who goes to church now anyway? What right have these Christians got, to force their beliefs and opinions onto people who do not believe in God, or have different beliefs and faith practices?"

To those who think in this way, the following prophecy will not be popular or comforting. The truth is; God is God, whether we believe in Him or not. The faith we profess, does not change the Law of God - the Law of the Creator.

The following prophecy (published in 1994) was given when the business community in Queenstown, New Zealand, sought permission from the government to trade on Sundays for the benefit of the tourists. Obviously God was not deceived.

'If legislation is passed that infringes the Sabbath, then the protective covering I have over this land will be drawn thin. Lakes will become empty, crops and stock will be destroyed and adversity will replace advantage.'

Why then do we shun His Love and Protection? The Sabbath was not established for God's benefit, but for ours.
